Work hours

If i had taken Monday as a vacation day, i wouldn't have had to work this week yet i would have put in my 80 hours work per two weeks (in other words, by Monday i had put in 72 hours of work and i still had a work week to go on the two week pay cycle). Of course on Monday i still had well over 40 hours of work that needed to be done, so i'm still doing lots of work. The overtime is nice, and after this post i'm buying some computer gear for myself, as well as pricing plane tickets for my next vacation (planned for most of June). Unless i pass out from exhau

I only bought some cables and an 8GB cf card. I've all my machines in the basement with the kvm, audio and usb cables running via cracks around the ducts, which isn't all that nice, and i'm working towards putting in real faceplates with kvm, audio, usb ports in them (oh and ethernet). Kind of $$ since i want to run 4 or 5 monitors up top, not to mention various usb necessities, and good video/usb cables are pricey. Also, punching holes in the walls makes me nervous.

Why would punching holes in walls make you nervous? Part of the fun in having a home is punching a hole in YOUR walls, and not worrying about a security deposit.

The fear that the wall might not continue performing its duties as a wall - keeping out the elements, keeping in the cats, holding up the floor above, etc.

Besides, the down payment on the mortgage was substantially greater than the one month's rent a tenant pays (at least in these parts).
